Helmet-cam video from Hot Helmet taken during a house fire Friday in Jones County, Mississippi. The fire was on George Boutwell Road in the Glade Community.
Firefighters initiated an aggressive exterior attack and as additional personnel arrived attempted to make entry into the home. As a fire suppression team advanced a hose line into the home, Jones County Fire Coordinator Dan McKenna observed the roof of the home sagging and ordered an immediate evacuation over firefighter radios. Fire apparatus on the scene activated air horns to additionally warn firefighters to evacuate. Seconds after the interior firefighters evacuated, a complete roof collapse occurred.
