Reports of as many as 15 people shot in church shooting today in Sutherland Springs, Texas near San Antonio with multiple fatalities, including the gunman. Children also reported to be among the victims. Live coverage above as available.

Wilson County News Editor Nannette Kilbey-Smith is reporting from the scene at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs that a man entered the church and began firing. Sheriff Joe Tackitt confirmed that there were multiple casualties and multiple fatalities. The shooter has been taken down.

KSAT-TV:

A man who opened fire in a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, is dead, police say.

A witness reported seeing a man walk into First Baptist Church and began shooting around 11:30 a.m.

Police said there are “multiple victims” at the church, but have not said how many.

Dallas News:

Multiple victims have been hospitalized after a gunman opened fire inside a Baptist church in Sutherland Springs, about 30 miles southeast of San Antonio.

A witness reported seeing the man walk into First Baptist Church and open fire about 11:30 a.m., KSAT-TV said.

A 2-year-old was among the victims who had been wounded, KENS-TV reported. Police say the gunman is also dead, a KSAT-TV reporter said on Twitter.
