On Saturday, an AMR EMT in Dekalb County, Georgia was caught on police body-cams beating a 17-year-old patient in an ambulance who was handcuffed and wearing ankle restraints. Dunwoody police officers witnessed the assault, pulled AMR EMT Deannah Williams off the patient and arrested her at the scene.

Williams claimed the teenaged boy spit on her. The raw video of the incident is above. On the video you can hear an officer scold Williams about the attack before she was then handcuffed. Williams is no longer working for AMR according to a statement from AMR. The statement is below along with two stories from WSB-TV.

WSB-TV:

Channel 2 Investigative Reporter Wendy Halloran obtained the video after days of arguing for its release as a public record. The City of Dunwoody initially denied Halloran the video. But late Wednesday, it determined that its release would be in the public’s best interest.

The video is profanity-laced as EMT Deannah Williams repeatedly punches a 17-year old patient in the face.

The boy is handcuffed behind his back, restrained at the ankles on a stretcher as Williams beats him.

Dunwoody police officer Kevin Lopez hears yelling and screaming, and he goes to the back of the ambulance to help restrain her.
