Caught on camera: Man attacks St. Louis firefighters claiming they’re too slow

A man was in custody Friday evening on suspicion of assaulting a firefighter who was trying to put out a car fire, police said.

The man punched a firefighter because he thought the firefighter was putting out the car fire too slowly, police said.

KMOV-TV:

Firefighters said the man had crashed his car into another and then left the scene before attacking the firefighters.

A video shot by a witness captured part of the incident and showed firefighters holding down the man before letting go. He then lunged towards one of the firefighters.

The video also shows the man punch one firefighter and that firefighter defend himself, dodge the punch and drop the attacker to the ground.
