Raw video & radio traffic: Mayday in Paterson, NJ

More fire news from FireCritic.com

Above is raw video and radio traffic from tornadochaser66 of a four-alarm fire Thursday at 95 4th Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey with a mayday. The mayday can be heard and seen starting at 5:52 on the video. Here’s part of the description with the video:

May-Day called by Firefighter on the 2nd floor. Video shows Firefighters rescue him from the 2nd Floor window with a ladder.

Below is early video from tornadochaser66 of  a two-alarm fire that occurred an hour later a short distance away at 197 5th Avenue. Obviously, from looking at the videos, there were windy conditions in the early morning hours Thursday.

Jim Norman & Stefanie Dazio, NorthJersey.com:

Battling two stubborn blazes involving four residential buildings Thursday, fire officers finally declared the last of them under control after nearly 13 hours, authorities said.

The blazes were the third and fourth tackled by firefighters within 48 hours.

On Thursday, they first put out a major fire on 4th Avenue in the morning, but an hour after that fire started, a second blaze broke out just blocks away on 5th Avenue — just across the street from a fire that had raced through a residential structure late Tuesday night.
