With the many attacks on firefighters across the country during the protests and looting this is an interesting and scary incident that occurred this (Wednesday) morning in the Nation’s Capital. DC Fire & EMS Truck 16 was on a reported water leak when there was what sounds like an attempted armed robbery in an effort to get a hydra-ram. Here’s the information from reporter Paul Wagner at WTTG-TV/FOX5 (below) and the radio traffic from the incident (above).
New-Early this morning in SE while on a call @dcfireems says a gunman walked up to the driver of Truck 16 and demanded a tool from the truck. He wanted a hydra-ram but driver opened door with saws and in less than a minute the gunman ran off with nothing. pic.twitter.com/6FAdOpG14s
