Video from klopek24 shows what appears to be a close call for a Chicago firefighter. The fire was Monday at a commercial building in the 2200 block of West Grand. At 2:00 into the video a firefighter appears to be struck by the moving aerial. He falls on top of the parapet and loses his helmet.
The ladder then hits a chimney and knock part of it loose that falls to the ground, apparently coming very close to a firefighter climbing a ground ladder. The Chicago Fire Department reported there were two firefighters hurt in this fire, including one injured in a fall.
