Thanks to Jordan Ryan for sending these videos from Tuesday’s fire on Main Street in Herkimer, New York.
Two people were rescued after flames tore through a building on Main Street in Herkimer on Tuesday. Some of the 27 tenants displaced by the fire in Herkimer were allowed back in on Wednesday to get any belongings they could find.
Firefighters say the call came in after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The second and third floors were on fire.
A bucket was used to get the two people inside out. Nobody was injured.
Officials say more than 10 dogs and several cats had to be rescued. Some dogs and cats died, but some other animals were found alive including a rabbit, snake and lizard.
