Video of collapse at commercial fire in Brewster, Ohio. One of four fires set in two hours.

Earlier coverage from Firegeezer

Starting late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning four fires were set in two adjoining Ohio counties. The video above and in the middle are from the last of the fires. It was at JB’s Convenience Store at 340 S. Wabash Avenue in Brewster. At about 1:20 in the clip above you will see a collapse of part of the structure. The second video was taken earlier in the operation. The video all the way at the bottom is fairly early video from the first fire of the night at Garver’s Flea Market in Strasburg (still pictures here). Here’s more from CantonRep.com:

Four overnight fires in southern Stark County and northern Tuscarawas county villages were purposely set, according to the state fire marshal’s office.

Strasburg Fire Chief Brent Metzger said it’s too coincidental, leading investigators to suspect all four fires are related.

“Most of us were in Strasburg when we got a call to help Beach City with the church fire,” said Capt. Jen Mohler of the Brewster Fire Department.

Then, at 12:53 a.m., Brewster firefighters received a call that the former Jer’s Pizza Shop at 662 N. Wabash Ave. was on fire. The pizza shop no longer operates there, and the building was abandoned.

North Lawrence firefighters heading to Beach City had passed it and called it in, Mohler said.

“We came back for the pizza shop fire and, on the way back, we found another (former business) on fire,” she said.

Mohler said the Brewster firefighters noticed the former JB’s convenience store at 340 S. Wabash Ave. also was burning.

Here’s a list of the fires from CantonRep.com:

• 11:03 p.m. Wednesday: Strasburg, Garver’s flea market, 100 block of N. Wooster Avenue (Route 250).

• 12:40 a.m. Thursday: Beach City, First  Lutheran Church at Third Street SW and Main Avenue.

• 12:53 a.m. Thursday: Brewster, former Jer’s Pizza Shop at 662 N. Wabash Ave.

• 1 a.m. Thursday: Brewster, former JB’s convenience store, 340 S. Wabash Ave.
