More on unlicensed Haverhill, Massachusetts firefighter who was in jail for four months: The investigation into Kevin Thompson has uncovered a 2005 crash where the police department failed to check if Thompson had a valid driver’s permit. Thompson suddenly retired from the department when it was determined he spent four months in jail without the knowledge of top fire officials.
