Our friend Eric Hurst at 5280fire.com has video, still pictures and fireground audio of a house fire around 4:00 Friday morning at 17071 Cornerstone Drive in Parker, Colorado handled by South Metro firefighters. Here’s some of what Eric wrote about the fire:

First arriving Tower 45 reported smoke showing from the charlie side and assumed truck company responsibilities.  Engine 44 laid in and advanced an 1 3/4 with Medic 44 for fire attack.  A dry back up line was also pulled to the alpha side.  Interior crews were met with heavy smoke conditions and the seat of the fire was determined to be in the basement.  Flames began venting from the delta side basement windows and a portion of the first floor collapsed with fire extensti0n visible.  A withdraw was ordered and defensive operations began using hand lines from the alpha and charlie sides into the basement.  A 2 1/2 was also pulled for exposure protection on the delta side.
