Arlington Cardinal:

Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:10 AM Monday to a report of a house fire just south of Central Road and Northwest Highway at 21 South Hi Lusi Avenue, Mount Prospect, IL.

Mount Prospect’s fire department battalion chief arrived on the scene and reported heavy smoke coming from the house. The battalion chief ordered a working fire response (Code 4).

The house was well-involved with fire by the time firefighters arrived. About 10 minutes after arriving on the scene, firefighters had to evacuate the house and stop interior firefighting operations because of dangerous fire conditions inside the house.
