Here’s an update on a story we shared in June from Walkill, New York.
Washington Heights Volunteer Fire Chief Chuck Healy was suspended in June after posting racist remarks on his Facebook page and referring to his racially mixed grandchildren as “colored.”
Multiple sources confirm to News 12 that Healy, who serves with the department in Wallkill, was reinstated in July.
Town Supervisor Frank DenDanto says he’s disappointed by the department’s decision.
