Video from Scott Ziegler (HPZ1442) from a house fire in Highland Park, Michigan. Here’s what Scott wrote about it (I do see that he’s now doing a little product placement for one of our sponsors):

Responded at shift change to a report of smoke in the area of elmhurst and 3rd. Arrived to find a very well involved dwelling. Our initial plan was to go in on tank water while the FEO hooked up to the hydrant across the street. That hydrant did not work, so we stuck around the front door knocking down what we could from there with tank water. Our FEO and Eng2s FEO had to stretch 4inch a block and a half to get to a hydrant that worked since most in this area do not. By the time we had established a water supply the fire had gone through the roof and our OIC took a defensive stance calling us out of the structure to put up our tower. Fire was brought under control within 2 and a half hours. No injuries, or exposure damage. Video was shot with a firecam 1080. You can purchase one at firevideo.net video was edited with final cut.
