Posted by REDVIDEO1, this is a basement fire last Tuesday in Livingston, New Jersey (more at FireCritic.com).

Mike D’Onofrio, Livingston Patch:

The fire began slightly before 7 a.m. at 16 Trombley Drive, said Livingston Fire Chief Christopher Mullin. When fire crews arrived, smoke was billowing out the front door of the two-story home while the female homeowner, her son and their dog were watching from the front lawn.

Fire crews entered the home through the front door and were able to quickly ventilate the home by breaking through walls and windows, said Mullen. The fire originated in the basement, which can typically be difficult to control, but Mullen said crews were able to contain the fire quickly.

“It was obviously intense — the heat — going down to the basement,” said Mullin, standing in front of the house later that morning.“Basement fires are always a little difficult because you are going down into the fire.”
