House Fire on Summit Ave in New Milford, NJ on Oct 18, 2013. Dispatched around 8:19PM. The fire rekindled just before midnight & the fire departments were called back. New Milford, Oradell, Dumont & Bergenfield Fire Dept operated at the scene.

First arriving units found smoke showing, but no visible fire. Crews stretched two 1.75″ hand lines though the front door as they were met with heavy fire conditions. The fire, which started in the kitchen, quickly spread to the second floor and vented out two windows in the rear. Evacuation tones were sounded, removing all members from the building as an exterior attack was made on the heavy fire.
