The news clip above includes cell phone video from a house fire Friday on Pleasant Ridge Drive in Columbia, South Carolina. The video shows a ground ladder collapsing as two firefighters climb toward an upper window.
Almost 25 firefighters responded to Pleasant Ridge Drive off Leesburg Road just before 6 last night.
A mother and a child who lived in the house were taken to the hospital.
One firefighter was also taken to the hospital after one of the ladder’s they were climbing on to battle the blaze, collapsed under him.
We’re told his injuries are considered non-life threatening, there is no word on the condition of the mother and son.
