This is video and fireground audio fromĀ BoxAlarmDetroit at a fire that burned throughout the day and night Wednesday in Detroit, Michigan. The fire at Farnsworth and Riopelle was in an occupied building that was once Fisher Body Plant #10.

Here’s some of the description with the video.

An interior attack was made, and crews found pallets and other products burning in three different parts of the complex. After the fire rapidly spread through the single and two-story wood frame warehouses along Farnsworth Street, the chief requested a second alarm and HAZMAT. The layout of the buildings, low water pressure, high winds, heavy snow, and temperatures of 20F slowed firefighting efforts, and crews were eventually withdrawn from all of the buildings. The fire was fought defensively throughout the day, eventually spreading through the first four floors of the complex. At around 10PM, the top floors of one of the buildings collapsed.
