Helmet-cam captures explosion at lumber yard fire in Owego, NY

Video from WestCornersFire29 of a fire at Wagner Lumber in Owego, New York (Tioga County) Sunday morning that brought out 17 departments from three counties. At :30 into the video you will hear what sounds like a relief valve on a tank just before it blows.

The call for the fire came in at 3:23 a.m. from a passerby in a vehicle who saw the flames, said John Scott, Tioga County Fire Coordinator. A second 911 call followed very quickly from a neighbor.
When the first responders arrived, the mill at 4060 Gaskill Road in the hamlet of Campville, off Day Hollow Road, was fully engulfed in flames, Scott said. Other departments were quickly called for backup. A total of 17 departments from Broome, Tioga and Bradford counties responded to the massive structure fire.
No one was injured and no immediate cause was determined, Scott said.
