Numerous rescues and five injured in Rosslyn, Virginia apartment fire.

Firefighters in Arlington County, Virginia had their hands full this morning with an apartment building filling with heavy smoke from a storage room fire. Fire officials say they helped 15 people from the three-story building at 1523 Fairfax Drive. The fire was reported around 4:45 AM.

Five people were taken to the hospital, including one reported in critical condition. A second-alarm was called.

Fairfax Drive runs adjacent to the west bound lanes of busy Route 50 through Rosslyn. Those lanes of Route 50 were closed until just before 7:30 AM.
