This is a new one for me, but I haven’t been an EMT for a few decades. According to news reports, a woman jumped from a bridge in Fuyang City, China on Sunday and was apparently brought to shore by people fishing nearby.
Responding firefighters attempting to revive the woman used what is described with the video as “indigenous methods”. In this case he ran with the woman upside down on his back.
As my friend Frank Field told me a while back, they scoffed at Henry Heimlich back in the 70s.
