Firefighters reported heavy fire when they responded to an apartment building on Harvard Terrace at about 5:45 p.m.
Boston Fire says the blaze started on the rear porches of a three story brick apartment building and spread inside and up through the roof.
One firefighter has been transported from the scene for smoke inhalation.
Boston EMS treated 5 firefighters. 2 were transported; a shoulder injury and smoke inhalation.3 others treated at scene

The fire appears to be in multiple units of an apartment building near the intersection of Harvard Ave. and Brighton Ave.
Firefighters are battling the blaze from various angles including the ground, ladder houses and the roofs of attached apartments.
From the ground at least 4 apartments appeared to be destroyed with several additional units suffering damage.
Firefighters were in the apartment by 6:20 p.m. and preliminary searches show that everyone made it out of the building safely.
