Must see green line video includes neighbor’s roof ops

More fire videos from FireCritic.com

Make sure you watch both videos from matt pomeroy as he responds green line in hand to a neighbor’s house fire in Ladner, BC on June 17. In video number 2, below, Mr. Pomeroy takes to the roof of the home with the hose trying in his own way to keep a shed fire from spreading to the house. Bystanders try to get him to come down which he does when firefighters arrive. Looks to me that whoever was pumping that green line could have done a better job.

Delta Optimist:

Two local families have been displaced after a house fire in Ladner early Tuesday morning.

Delta fire deputy chief Ken Sim said the call came in at about 6 a.m. for a fire at a residence in the 4200-block of Arthur Drive. When crews arrived on scene, he said, a backyard shed was on fire, as well as the back of the home. Sim said the flames had spread into the eaves and the attic, but firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. He said the exterior of the home suffered extensive damage, while the interior was largely saved.

“It was a great save,” he said.
