Early video: House fire behind firehouse in Meriden, CT

Early video from MeridenFireVideos of a house fire today (Monday) at 291 Britannia Street in Meriden, Connecticut.

Lauren Sievert, Record-Journal:

Deputy Fire Chief David Bowen said someone called 911 about noon. The home is directly behind the Engine Company 4 firehouse, but the company was out responding to another fire call at the time, Bowen said.

A man, woman and infant were home on the first floor, said Miguel Estrella, the owner of the property. Another adult was on the second floor, and the third floor was unoccupied at the time, Estrella said.

There were no injuries and everyone was out of the house when the first engine got on scene, Bowen said. A pet died in the fire, however, Bowen said.
