Radio traffic from mayday at Milwaukee apartment fire

Radio traffic above posted by Milwaukee Fire Department Incidents from an apartment fire last (Tuesday) night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At 2:50 into the clip a mayday is called for three firefighters who jumped out of a second floor window.

The fire was reported around 10:10 p.m. at an apartment building near Eggert Place and Sherman Boulevard in Milwaukee.

First-responders rushed inside after getting reports that residents were trapped.

While inside, three firefighters became trapped and had to jump out of a second-story window.

When crews arrived on scene, they encountered heavy fire on the first floor and reports of people trapped on the second floor.

At that time, crews began a primary search of the second floor, but didn’t find anyone. However, as firefighters were searching they became trapped by the fire and had to jump out a second story window.

Three firefighters were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
