These are pictures the Clarksville VFC in West Clarksville, New York (Allegany County) posted to its Facebook page today (Sunday) with the following message:

Sometime during the night of December 20-21, 2014, someone broke into CVFC HQ and disgraced us… Painting our apparatus and ruining all of our turnout gear and helmets. We are currently down to an engine and tanker in service… But CVFC will prevail. This will not keep us from providing our professional level of service. Anyone with info, please contact Chief Sharp or the NYS Troopers Amity barracks.

Lou Raguse, WIVB-TV:

Someone broke into a window Saturday night at the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Company and spray painted vulgar words all over trucks, other equipment and parts of the building.

They trashed computers and doors.

And there is spray paint on all of the helmets and turnout gear.

The Clarksville Volunteer Fire company raises about $8,000 a year. The chief says the damage totals $40,000-$5,000.

They will need to borrow equipment from other fire companies just to be able to fight fires.
