Dennis Rubin reports he’s the new fire chief of De Pere, Wisconsin

Dennis Rubin announced he’s now the fire chief of the City of De Pere, Wisconsin. The Rube provided the information last (Sunday) night in an update on Facebook of his biographical sketch. So far, I have found no news stories about Rubin’s appointment to share with you.

The new job comes four years, to the month, after Rubin left his last fire chief’s position. In December 2010, Rubin resigned as chief of the DC Fire & EMS Department in anticipation that incoming Mayor Vincent Gray would replace Rubin the following month with Kenneth Ellerbe.

After leaving DC, Rubin wrote a book about his experience in the Nation’s Capital called “DC Fire”. Will the book “DP Fire” be next for this fire service author?
