Stockton, CA FD at it again – and they do salvage work too!

California’s Stockton Fire Department has long been the darlings of our stable of Last Responders (AKA KICs or keyboard incident commanders) here at STATter911.com. It looks like the firefighters in Stockton are carrying their reputation into 2015 and adding to it with this New Year’s Day house fire at Bradford and Sierra Nevada.

What struck me more than what appears to be a pretty quick knock down of the bulk of the fire is the salvage work. I probably see more fire videos every day than just about anyone in the world but it is extremely rare for me to see any firefighters working hard to salvage belongings while there is still active fire. If it’s happening more often than I know, the videographers must be missing it.
