I kid you not when I tell you the man who took the image above is a Boston photojournalist who has won a Pulitzer Prize three times in his career. This one won’t likely be the fourth for Stanley Forman but he wins my admiration for not letting even the news media get away with parking on a plug.

There have been a few times in my TV career I have had to tell people who thought they were going to park in front of a fire hydrant that they weren’t going to do it with me in the car. Can’t tell in this picture, but if the satellite dish is up it wouldn’t be likely the truck could make a quick exit if fire trucks suddenly show up.

And we know how the Boston FD handles those who park on hydrants.
