WTTG-TV/FOX 5:

A volunteer firefighter from Lusby MD is trying to pick up the pieces of his life after his home burned to the ground.

The heartbreaking detail in this story is that he was responding to that fire with his volunteer team and had no idea it was his own home.

He fought the flames while fighting back emotions as he dealt with the fact that he was watching his life go up in flames.

Now his comrades are coming to his rescue to help raise money  to get him back on his feet.
