UPDATE 4:55 p.m. MT:

Suspect has been taken into custody.

UPDATE 4:05 p.m. MT:

Evacuation of the building continues in Colorado Springs. Four officers are confirmed injured with Colorado Springs Police Department Lt. Catherine Buckley saying there is a possibility of a fifth injured officer. Lt. Buckley says the number of civilian casualties is not known at this time. Hospitals have confirmed at least six injuries in addition to the police officers.

According to Lt. Buckley, police know where in the building the gunman is located and confirms that the Planned Parenthood’s offices is where all of this has taken place. Police are concerned about items they believe the suspect brought to the scene. Police are not in voice contact with the gunman.

UPDATE 2:15 p.m. MT:

News reports more shots being fired at police. Police now confirm four police officers and an unknown number of civilians have been wounded. Police have been rescuing some people who were pinned down in the building.

UPDATE 1:35 p.m. MT:

Colorado Springs Police Department reports during a briefing the call came out as shots fired at 11:38 a.m. MT. It has been confirmed that three police officers have been injured and there are civilian injuries. They are not addressing fatalities at this time or a connection to Planned Parenthood.

It is believed there is at least one person armed with a long gun. There is the possibility that there are hostages. While earlier police reported the gunman had been contained, they are no longer reporting that information.

NBC News:

The Colorado Springs Fire Department said on Twitter at 11:50 a.m. local time that there was a shooter near the Planned Parenthood building on Centennial Boulevard. The police department warned the area is “not secure.”

KRDO-TV:

Police report that one officer was hit, but they have not said how badly the officer was hurt.
Centennial Blvd. is closed in both directions from Garden of the Gods to Fillmore.

The King Soopers shopping center at Fillmore and Centennial is on shelter in place.

Police say the area is not secure, and are asking for people to avoid the area.
