Fire engine hitting Santa prank not getting a lot of laughs
A group of firefighters is getting the message that it might not be a good idea to mess with Santa. Saltash Fire Station is a two-pump, on-call station that serves Saltash, a town of 29,000 people. The firefighters had a life-siza Santa from last year and decided to make use of it in a way that might make some children a bit unhappy.
A town’s fire brigade told local children not to expect a visit from Santa this year after pretending their engine had run over and killed him.
Saltash Fire Station posted a gruesome image of Father Christmas plastered lifeless to the front grille of their 13-tonne truck to their Twitter page.
His head dangles to one side and legs crumple beneath him.
As if the image itself was not enough, the station uploaded the picture online with the caption: ‘Thought we hit something on the way home…Sorry kids, Santa isn’t coming!’
