An infant and a toddler are dead in a fire in a row home in Wilmington, according to Fire Chief Anthony Goode.
Wilmington Fire Chief Anthony Goode told our sister station WDEL that a three-month old baby and three-year-old girl were both killed. A two-year-old child has been treated and released from the hospital, according to fire officials. Goode said the children’s mother is hospitalized in critical, bur stable condition.
A passing ambulance crew spotted the fire, but by the time fire crews arrived on scene, they were met with heavy conditions.

During the fire, the Action Cam captured images of firefighters jumping to safety from the structure to avoid the intense flames.
One witness tells us, “The mom jumped out the window. She’s burned profusely. She has, literally – it’s past third degree burns.”
