Early video and radio transmissions from Don Murtha (Erie County New York Incidents) taken during a house fire today (Tuesday) on East Melcourt Drive in Cheektowaga, New York (Erie County). Here’s some of what Don wrote about the fire:

U-Crest Chief on scene 1.5 story dwelling Fire showing from #1 side at the door. Crews notice floor is already missing at entrance and take a defensive stance at the door with an attack line. 2nd Crew make a cautious push from rear door with advancing fire already into 2nd floor and cockloft. PineHill sets up their ladder to strip away roof for heavy fire on 2nd floor. House was deemed unoccupied and vacant.
