Close call for tour bus riders in Seattle

Picture and story from KOMO-TV (click here for more pictures):

Two tour buses packed with passengers slid down a slippery hill in Seattle, and one is now hanging precariously over a 30-foot wall beside Interstate 5.

About 75 passengers were aboard the two buses, which crashed through a metal railing and screeched to a stop seconds before tumbling onto the freeway below.

The buses reportedly were carrying members of a Moses Lake high school choir.

No serious injuries were reported, but passengers were reported to be shaken up after being evacuated from the buses. Some were treated for minor injuries.

The accident happened at about 12:30 p.m. at Melrose Avenue East and E. Thomas Street.
