Just before becoming overwhelmed from heavy smoke, Deputy Falcon observed an arm in the back bedroom. Deputy Falcon grabbed the occupant and with the help of Deputy Wilson, the two were able to drag her to safety,” the county said in a news release.

The victim, a 64 year old, was taken to University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She suffered burns to her back, arms and face and suffered from smoke inhalation, the release said. The two deputies were checked on the scene for cuts from crawling through broken glass and smoke inhalation.
