A week from tomorrow is the first anniversary of the death of Asheville Fire Department Captain Jeffrey Bowen. The first annual Carolina Brotherhood Ride, a 5-day cycling event  made up of firefighters and police officers from the Carolinas begins Monday in Wilmington and is dedicated to the memory of Captain Bowen.
