Early video: Burning vehicle pulls up on ramp of firehouse where no one was home

Probably every firehouse has had people drive onto the front apron with an emergency — and some with not so urgent problems. The person driving this pickup truck probably had the best of intentions when they parked the burning vehicle onto the ramp at Fire Station 5 in Surrey, British Columbia. But I’m sure we all can name a few of reasons why this was not such a good idea.

As it turns out, the firefighters at this station were on another call. According to the description BC Fire Trucks posted with the video, an off-duty firefighter drove up and grabbed a line off a rig in the firehouse. She began knocking down the fire as the on-duty crew returned.
