Early video & radio traffic: Fireworks store burns in Michigan arson spree

In Wyoming, Michigan a 34-year-old man is in custody, suspected of setting a number of fires this (Tuesday) morning, including one in a fireworks store. Pre-arrival video, above, and more video (from Justin Saladin), radio traffic (from GTFD8215) and images, below.

Emergency crews were battling hot spots at one of them, GS Fireworks store, for several hours. The store fire was first reported around 6:30 a.m.

The suspected arsonist was driving the wrong way down Burlingame when police caught up with him. The chase ended in a crash at the corner 36th Street and Burlingame after police pushed the suspect’s vehicle into a curb.

Police say they are investigating three additional fires and two car thefts they believe he is connected to.
