Authorities are investigating a house fire that caused $120,000 in damage and may have been intentionally set in National City Thursday, a fire official said.
The displaced resident, who escaped unscathed, and several neighbors saw a suspicious person in the area shortly before the blaze broke out at the home on East Third Street east of Euclid Avenue, said National City Battalion Chief Robert Hernandez.
He said they had seen the possible suspect before but did not provide other details about the person.
