EARLIER
Night two of protests against the shooting of Keith Lamont Scott began shortly before 7 p.m. at the corner of Trade and Tryon streets.
The group stayed stationary for a short period of time before marching down Trade Street to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Hundreds were expected throughout the evening as Charlotte-Mecklenburg police prepared for another long night, but hopefully a more peaceful one.
