NEW INFO: Update on what lead up to ramming

The Conway Police Department is investigating after someone reportedly intentionally collided with an Horry County fire truck Tuesday afternoon, according to Sgt. Darren Alston.

The crash happened at around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Founders Drive and S.C. 544.

Alston said one person was taken into custody for causing the wreck and their name and charges are expected to be released later.

WMBF-TV:

Lt. Brian VanAernem with Horry County Fire Rescue said no firefighters were injured in the crash, which happened on Highway 544 and Founders Drive, just outside the university campus.

A witness to the crash said on Twitter that he saw a woman crash into the fire truck in her car, then back up, say she was tired of being harassed by the police, then ram into into the truck again. Another witness show video of the crash which clearly shows the vehicle driving into the fire truck. Warning: this video contains explicit language.
