As I’ve said many times before, firefighters sure handle suicide threats differently in China and a few other countries than we do in the United States. This one is among the most dramatic I’ve seen and seems to have come very close to failing.
The man was 30-floors up in an unfinished building wielding a crowbar, upset over breaking up with his girlfriend.
As the firemen got close enough to grab him, the man’s foot slipped and he went over the edge.
Despite the fireman being at risk of being hauled over himself, he refused to give up on the man and held in while his colleagues raced over to help.
Eventually the man was pulled up into the safety of the building, but he was still clearly distressed and shouting at his rescuers.
