News reports indicate a high-rise fire this (Thursday) evening at 515 W. 59th Street in Manhattan has injured firefighters and civilians. A 4th alarm was struck at about 6:25 p.m. ET with a request for four additional truck companies.

The fire was reported around 5:00 p.m. with reports of numerous people trapped in the high rise. Also reports of a mayday that has been cleared.

Three firefighters are among at least six people hurt in a fire that’s burning in a high-rise apartment building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side Thursday afternoon.
The three-alarm fire broke out on West 59th Street near Tenth Avenue.

Fire officials said the fire started in a third-floor apartment.
The six people injured were three firefighters and three civilians. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
