Body armor saves PA ambulance crew member during stabbing attempt

Police have an arrest warrant for a Harrisburg woman who allegedly attempted to kill a Life Team EMS who had responded to a domestic assault call at a Hall Manor apartment.  The incident began at about 10:38 pm Wednesday at 17 I Hall Manor.

Life Team EMS personnel arrived at the apartment before police. While they were attempting to contact and treat the victim, a 68 year old man, they were confronted by Juanee D. Crawford.

Holding a knife in her hand, Crawford screamed at EMS Personnel “I’m going to kill you”. She then lunged at a male EMS stabbing him in the chest and slashing at him near the waist.

Police said she then stabbed one of the EMS personnel in the chest and slashed at him near the waist. According to Police, the EMS personnel wasn’t injured because they were wearing a vest with a medal trauma plate.

They were able to fight off Crawford and she ended up fleeing the scene. Police said there is a warrant out for Crawford for criminal attempted homicide.

There is a $2,000 award for anyone who knows where Crawford may be.
