Yonkers firefighter suspended over Facebook post

The latest SMACSS (Social Media Assisted Career Suicide Syndrome) case is from Yonkers, New York.

News 12 Westchester reports a 22-year veteran of the Yonkers Fire Department has been suspended without pay because of the post above on his personal Facebook page.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano released a statement Friday saying, “I’m outraged. This individual has discredited and disrespected our wonderfully diverse city and our firefighters. He should be ashamed of himself.”
