Update: While Baltimore City Fire Department has not made any official announcement of deaths, firefighters just finished escorting remains at 2:30 pm from the hospital to the medical examiner’s office.

Update: Baltimore City Fire Department confirms at 8:55 am three firefighters removed and at hospital. One still trapped in collapse.

One firefighter has been rescued in serious condition and two others remain trapped in a vacant home on fire in Southwest Baltimore, according to the city fire department.

Around 6 a.m. Monday, firefighters arrived on the scene of a fire in the 200 block of South Stricker St in the city’s New Southwest/Mount Clare neighborhood.

Three firefighters were trapped during the blaze, and by about 7:10 a.m. one had been rescued and taken to the hospital.
