The Intelligencer:

Wellsburg police Lt. Lester Skinner said two juveniles have been arrested and face arson charges. He said it appeared they were using lighter fluid to set fire to cardboard boxes inside the building.

The juveniles may have entered the former factory at the corner of 18th and Charles streets through a broken window, according to Skinner. Two Brooke County sheriff’s deputies and a Wellsburg police officer escorted the two from the building as the fire was starting, he said.

As it burned, sections of the outer wall collapsed, with some brick falling onto the adjacent sidewalk and a utility line at the building’s corner dropping to the street.
