Baltimore City firefighters were called to an apartment fire in Northeast Baltimore Wednesday morning.

Officials said the fire broke out around 11:10 a.m. in the 5500 block of Frankford Avenue. It took about 20 minutes to put out the fire, officials said.

Officials said that all 11 units in the three-story apartment building were affected, displacing about 20 residents. One person is critically injured and another is seriously injured after four of the residents reportedly jumped from the building to escape the flames. Witnesses said the scene was terrifying.
