The title with the picture reads “Another day at work.” For John Luttrell, work at the Knox County (KY) Sheriff’s Office is now just a memory. The good news is at least there’s this image to remind Luttrell of his former career.
The now former deputy sheriff is a recent victim of SMACSS, Social Media Assisted Career Suicide Syndrome. The dreaded disease messes up the mind so much that people lose all sense because of their eagerness to share things on social media. In Luttrell’s case, SMACSS apparently took over his brain to make the deputy think it was a good idea to pose for a selfie with an unconscious woman in an car and then share the image on social media.
During the investigation of the incident Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith and Deputy Luttrell both came to the conclusion the only way to make sure SMACSS didn’t spread to other deputies was to accept Luttrell’s resignation.
